David Michael Thomas is Kristy Thomas's younger brother. His father left Elizabeth and the family when he was just a baby. His room on Bradford Court was not much bigger than a closet. Shannon the dog belongs to the entire family, but mostly David Michael.
He attends Stoneybrook elementary, even though the Brewers live in the Kelsey School district. Watson and Elizabeth briefly entertain the idea of transferring David Michael to Stoneybrook Acadamy with Karen, but decide to keep him at Stoneybrook Elementary because they have a theatre program.
