I tried to make a template for the talk pages, with the embedded comments module, along with a warning at the top to not be mean to each other. However, when I tried to use the template, it changed the page title, and now the talk page for Dawn's Family Feud is titled simply TALK, not talk: dawns family feud.
It's okay! We'll figure it out! :)
In the DFF article, the little template that creates the "Discuss it on the Talk page here" link hadn't had the book title filled in, so instead of going to "Talk:Dawn-s-Family-Feud", it just went to "Talk:" or "Talk". So I think what might have happened is that you created the page at "Talk" but didn't realize it until after you tried to use the template, so you thought that the template changed the title.
Although I'm actually not sure what you mean by "tried to use the template", because the template you created (which looks fine to me, by the way) didn't have "Template:" at the beginning of the title (by which I mean the little box above the main text window when you're creating a page, which is what shows up at the top of the page and in the index and all), it just had "Template:" at the beginning of the name (the thing that determines the page's location, which is what you put in when you're creating a new page). And it looked to me just now like it didn't show up in the list of templates until I changed the title to put "Template:" at the beginning of it. So I'm not sure if you mean the Template:ArticleTalk, which is the one I created that just puts the line at the bottom of the book article to go to the Talk page. I hope this paragraph was at least semi-comprehensible; distinguishing between the page title and the page name is very confusing (and I'm not sure I did it right).
I'm not entirely sure what I did, but I'll try to outline this as best as I can. BTW, I'm loving my timing. I checked in like a minute after you posted this.
I created a page to be used as a template for the talk pages. I thought I called it Template: Talk. It's the one that says "blabla bla be nice to each other' and has the comment module. Then I went to DFF and clicked on the "talk here!" which I thought would take me to the create a talk page..page. I clicked on that for Mallory's Dream Horse and it worked okay, but without the template. When I looked at the URL for DFF talk, something didn't seem right. I thought perhaps I did something wrong in the template i created. Also, it was showing up in the template list differently then the other templates.
Oh i hope that made sense.
when i went to the dawn's family feud page, it just said that there was no talk page…?
Okay, I think it's fixed. Thank you!
