Seth Engle is the second husband of Lisa Engle, the ex-wife of Kristy's stepfather Watson Brewer and the mother of Kristy's stepsister Karen Brewer and stepbrother Andrew Brewer. He and Lisa marry between books #1 and #6 (where he is referred to as "Kendall", changed in later printings).

Seth and Lisa live at 12 Forest Drive in Springfield, in a home Karen calls "the little house" (as opposed to Watson's mansion, "the big house"). Seth is a carpenter and owns his own workshop within walking distance of his home.
